Top 5 tips for groom's to be
This is just a quick list of our suggestions of what not forget to do on your wedding day. Whilst they may seem simple you would be surprised how many forget!
1 | Make a list
Eat breakfast! No one's favourite person is a hungry man!
Write out a list of people you need to talk to/thank/dance with at the reception
Double check with the best man that he has the rings
Triple check that everyone knows where they need to be and when
Relax with a favorite cocktail—but don’t get drunk before the ceremony
Have a moment of zen
Reread and reflect upon your wedding vows
Give yourself plenty of time to get ready
Write a thoughtful note to your partner and have a groomsman deliver it
Arrange with caterers to take supper to-go at the end of the night (many couples don't eat enough at the reception)
Coordinate group photos at the reception—there are plenty of friends you’ll want a pic with who won’t be included in the cocktail-hour photos with the families and wedding party
Have a moment with each of your parents at the reception
Run away with your partner for a moment just the two of you
Drink a lot of water
Most importantly... PARTY!
2 | Smell the part
This one is simple – you want to smell good and the easiest way to get the right fragrance is to pick the one with the right character – namely your character.
There are also some great ways of creating your own signature fragrance.
3. Choosing your best man and groomsmen

Most likely the biggest decision you’ll have to make in the wedding planning process.
Normally we wouldn’t advocate ranking people, but this is a special case. And so it’s time to rank your friends. Anyone beyond position #5 should be made an usher or cut (survival of the fittest, man). After you’ve successfully cut down your list, congratulate yourself: You’ve got yourself a wedding party.
Consider these simple questions to help narrow down your list.
LET'S GET THE "HAVE TO'S" OUT OF THE WAY FIRST:
Do you have any brothers?
Does your partner have any brothers?
Any age-appropriate brothers should be included in the wedding party in some way.
We have also seen some of grooms choose to have Dad as their best man and stand beside them on their wedding day.

Who can you trust with things like planning the bachelor party and — most importantly — not losing the rings?
4. What should you carry in your pockets on your wedding day?

As little as possible, and definitely not your phone. For one thing, you shouldn’t be taking selfies all day, but you also don’t want any lumpy pants or bulky pockets showing up in the wedding photos. Our advice is to keep it simple: take your vows, notes for your toast, and a list of people you need to thank and leave the rest at the hotel or with trusted family or friend; your friends will have you covered.
5 | WEDDING DAY & TIME OUT

Let's be honest the men have a little less preparation time needed than the ladies. So if you have time on the day of the wedding consider, like Nev and his groomsmen, a little time out before the ceremony and celebrations. Especially, as in his case, when your wedding is a destination one. It is a great way of spending some quality time with the best mates in your chosen destination. Nev started with an early surf in Byron Bay. A great way to ease any nerves enjoying those final hours before you are someone's husband!
